Animal Wednesday - Southern Cassowary

I drew this Southern Cassowary from a picture in the National Geographic Magazine while watching football games this weekend.  It is done with colored pencils.  Happy Animal Wednesday everyone.

Yes Marianne, this bird really exists. It lives in Australia and is huge. It can grow as tall as most men and weigh about the same too. It is one of those birds I will only dream of seeing because I doubt I will ever get to Australia. Sigh~~
