Cactus Monday - Pot of cacti

I was with my Dearly Beloved at an appointment the other day and the fellow he was seeing had a pot of half dead cacti in a pot.  So while they were conducting their business I sketched the cactus. I added a little color when I got home.  Happy Cactus Monday to one and all.

What a fabulous way to pass the time waiting at a doctor's office. Plus points for having a plant, even a half dead one, to the doctor too! ;-)

Love it. I like the idea of carrying a sketch pad with you so you are ready to draw whenever the mood strikes.gt

It seems that tall one wants to escape the confines of the pot! Well done.

That looks exactly like the pot of cactus I bought so I could join Cactus Monday. Except mine's in a little better shape although I keep forgetting to water it. That's the good thing about cactus though, isnt' it? No water is a good thing!

Hey Lisa, I've been reading about Luna's adventure with the raccoon! Exciting for all! I love the sketch and half dead or not...those cactus spines look like they can inflict damage! gail

Very neat that you take your sketch pad so many places. Maybe we should start doing that with our ukuleles, etc.

Poor little cactus! You did a great job sketching him though. And what a great time passer!
