Animal Wednesday - Northern Bobwhite

We had such fun this week as my Brother-in-law was visiting a few days. He shares our passion for birding so we took him to some of our favorite haunts. He was delighted with the Bobwhite that sat in a tree calling. He is from up north and they don't get these game birds very often.
Happy Animal Wednesday.

Oh so neat Lisa! Such a pretty bird.
We had a neighbor who raised them and some got away so we had a few wild ones to enjoy.

Hi Lisa,

Now that is a bird that I am unfamiliar with.
Never even heard of it.
It is lovely to share hobbies with family, glad you had some fun.

Lovely painting.......always enjoy viewing your artwork.

Dear Lisa,
It has been years since I saw a Bobwhite.
Your watercolors always make me smile; they are lovely. Hopefully your temperatures are cooler and you have had some rain??? Always a delight to share hobbies with family and friends.

So glad you could spend time with someone who shares your passion! You bobwhite is very nice - I've never seen one in the wild, just on TV or in a pet shop I think.
