Animal Wednesday - Blue Jay

This Blue Jay is one of the first paintings I did in a watercolor class that I took a couple of years ago. I have always liked it. I was afraid to paint the background at this time. I am getting a little braver. You will probably notice that I like to paint birds when you come to see what I post for Animal Wedensday. I will try to diversify somewhat but I can't promise.

Lisa, this is just beautiful!! It is so 'bluejay' with that open squawking mouth! :)
You are so good with paints I am wondering why you don't do more!

I was\wondering when you were going to post again! The bluejay is gorgeous. No need for a background for this one. I think it would detract from the subject.

You do have all these framed and hung don't you?!

I can't seem to find time Teri. Especially right now when I am busy in the garden a lot.

Beckie, No I don't have this one framed. It has been in my stash. I am glad you don't mind that the background isn't done. I guess I saw the original and I thought it should be done the same.

One of my favorite birds. I love to watch them in my garden and at The Swamp. So beautifully done!
