Animal Wednesday - Brown Creeper

You will probably find that I like birds a lot. I have several drawings of birds. This is a Brown Creeper. I drew this picture from Mon@rch's blog. He has beautiful wildlife pictures. A lot of them are birds too. This was my first attempt at drawing a hand, or at least part of a hand.

Lisa, you did a wonderful job on this bird! Even the hand is quite good. It's that old practice thing. I can tell you love birds too, it just shows in your lines.

Thank you Teri. You are oh so right about practice. I should draw more. It is that terrible rut I always get into. I have no excuse except the dreaded rut.

I am so glad you are posting again. I know with the garden work you are outside more, but I miss seeing your wonderful art every couple of days. The brown creeper is delightful!

That's a lovely drawing. Are these birds easy to approach?

Gardenpath we usually have one at our suet feeders during winter too. I just love these little birds. They remind me of the big Moths that you can see out west that are camaflaged like the Creeper only the creeper is much more active.

Thank you Beckie. I hope all is going good at our end of the world this week.

Sandy these little birds are not easy to approach. This one had been captured for banding. They hardly stand still for anything.

Dear Lisa,
I love checking in and seeing a new painting or drawing!
It is exciting to me that you picked up your brush again. Now I see you are drawing!!
Wow! I can just see you with your sketch book and your blanket on the banks of the Wabash River...Luna resting near by.
I am somewhat romantic this morning...
Wonderful Creeper. They are darling birds and you drew him so perfectly.
