Animal Wednesday - Green Anole

I saw this as a photo on Pam's blog awhile back. I just loved the colors and I just love lizards so I thought I would give it a try. It is done in watercolors. This green anole was on an agave in Pam's garden. She takes the best pictures.

This anole is the cutest looking little gecko=like animal. You did a wonderful job on this!
I am so glad you joined us in Animal Wednesday!

Lisa, that is so cool! You did a wonderful, artistic rendering of the little guy. I'm flattered that you used my photo as inspiration. Thanks for showing it to us!

Hi Teri, I just love animal wednesday.

Pam, I am glad you liked the painting. I didn't realize you looked at my Artsy blog. Welcome. I am glad you didn't mind that I painted your picture.

Actually, Lisa, I didn't know that you kept this blog until today. There's no hiding once you make a link, you know. I have a Google Alert set up for my blog name and URL. ;-)

And, no, I don't mind that you liked my picture well enough to paint it. In fact, I'm tickled pink.

Lisa, I saw and loved that lizard on Pam's blog too. Your watercolor really captures it. How fun! I'm looking forward to getting back to watercolor painting myself this summer. Your haiku on pet fur was funny (in an earlier post.) My golden retriever is shedding and is need of a summer trim. Sounds like we share a bunch of interests in common. What is animal wednesday?

Sarah, Animal Wednesday is a prompt from Teri C to post a painting of an animal as the name implies on Wedensday of every week. I try to participate as I like animals of all sorts. Just a fun little prompt. You or anyone else is welcome to play along, I mean post.
My dear dog is the best shedder, unfortunately. I can't help but love her though. I am sure your Golden is a great shedder too.

Yes Sarah we do seem to have some mutual interests. I looked at your blog. You are quite the accomplished artist. I on the other hand am a dabbler.

Lisa, so sorry I haven't visited in a while. Got carried away in the gardens I guess. Your haiku was wonderful. I would have no luck trying one. I like your interpretation of barrel cactus and it does not look like a squash! The gecko must have been hard, but something about the eyes really caught my attention-good job! Keep up the good work-I so enjoy visiting here.
