Yes, it has taken me forever to get my page finished but here it is. Our Magnolia is all its glory.
I wanted to show the different stages of the bloom.
I hope to be improving my painting what with using this larger paper etc. I hate the way these pages accept paint. There is no flow. Where you spread your paint is where it stays. Very frustrating. I will be looking for a better book or making my own maybe.
I hope you all have a good weekend.

Very very pretty...lovely! Nicely done!
Your magnolia is so very pretty even with the "no flow" paper.
I love the idea of making your own book.
Always love seeing your art.

Well, I think you did pretty good considering the trouble you are having with your paper. I had that problem when I took that online class with Laure Ferlito. The paper was like painting on paper towels! Anyway, I think your magnolias look great.
This is goergeous...all together...just so soft and lovely colors!
Teri has a good idea where she makes the accordion folded things herself with watercolor paper. Maybe you would love that.
Hope you find something perfect!
I love the magnolia, looks wonderful, each stage. You have received some lovely pieces lately, thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend!
Magnolias make me smile. This beautiful painting makes me smile! How long do the blooms last?
those blossom are beautiful. You've really captured the delicate, see-through quality. I too have trouble with paper sometimes. I guess it's a search for what works with the way you paint and then sticking with it.
Lisa....beautiful artwork. I love the softness of the colours.......you are so very talented. I often see something in the garden and wish that I could paint like you.
I have tried a couple of sketches...not pleased with them.
Shall keep trying when time allows......
What a lovely spread... I love the translucent feel to these petals...just beautiful!
The paper gave you trouble, yet these eyes see marvelously fluid images, dreamy flowers that are at once light alone and substance.
I think it is beautiful. What kind of paper is it...maybe bristol would be better. You have inspired me to create more dyptichs. Visit soon!!

Wonderful detail & colour in your Magnolia blossoms Lisa.
Your magnolia blossoms are beautiful. I like the way the leaves flow on the pages.
Flowing or not I like the magnolia and how it moves across the pages gail
Magnolias always remind me of my mom. She loved them and had several paintings of pink magnolias.
