What you ask does this line up of feathers have to do with Cactus Monday??
The item holding the feathers is a rib of a You can see it has these lovely holes that I can stick feathers that I pick up while out birding or in our garden and display them. If this isn't a
In the past I have hung this on the wall or just layed it on a table to display the feathers. It is that time of year when I start looking at objects in my house trying to decide how I can rearrange to make it feel a little more lively. After all I will be stuck in here a couple more months.
What I did was take a part of a brick and drilled a hole in it. Then I just stuck the end of the rib into the hole. Voile, a stand was made and I like they way the feathers appear.
Happy Cactus Monday to all of you Cacuteers. For more Cactus fun go to Teri's Painted Daisies.

I don't know what it is but its very clever. I have lots of feathers I have been collecting from the yard that are so pretty I hate to put them in a box.
I know the feeling of being stuck inside all winter. I too start looking around at what I can change out. :)
Very very cool display...Love the natural vibes. Your feather collection is beautiful. I think maybe the cactus spine looks somewhat like a cholla cactus...just a thought? Happy Cactus Monday! :)
That sure is neat. What a beautiful cactus, and what a work of art you have made of it!
Yes, it looks like a cholla rib to me too. I love the feathers in there and have also seen dried flowers in there. Great use of the rib.

How pretty! I love this display! You are genius to think of it! :)
Happy CM!!!
Well what ever it is I covet it. Enjoying the quirkiness of the feather arrangement too.
Yes feathers need air around them.
What a great display!
Yep we have to think of other things to do while inside.
HCM dear!
wow, now that's creative!! It looks like a feather Ikibana! (sp?)
I have the painted raven feather you did for me on my keepsake board. I love it.
I don't get much of a colorful variety of feathered friends in my yard which surprises the heck out of me. I'm the biggest feeder in the whole neighborhood but the birds don't leave me any offerings. Well, except for the hawk who leaves his victims remains :P
Your feather collection is really beautiful. Very ingenious, the way you've displayed them.
Such a good idea!
How very interesting! And so decorative, too. You have certainly found a lot of feathers there, girl! Lovely way to display them. Yes, we have to stretch our creativity in this season of hibernation.
I don't think I've ever seen anything like that Saguaro Cactus rib. It's like the desert's drift wood. You are so creative!
What a marvellous idea - it's a beautiful display of feathers. You are very imaginative.
very cool and creative
that's a great way to display feathers. I have a few I've picked up too but don't have them displayed so artfully. Must find cholla rib....but not here. I'm due a vacation I think.
That is so pretty, I am really impressed with it.
