Animal Wednesday - Lambs

Since today is the first day in a week or so that I have felt half human (due to a cold) my DB decided it was time to get out and get some fresh air. I agreed since when I looked out and saw that some of the Goldfinches are beginning to get a bit of color around their head and neck we might find some other evidence that spring has not forsaken us.
While driving in the country we came upon a small herd of sheep. Below is the male with those big horns.
Here are some of his progeny being well cared for by their Mother despite it being 15F.
Momma was a little nervous with us being there. They were good little lambs, staying close to their warm milk source.
I wish you all a happy Animal Wedensday. Are you seeing any signs of spring in your area?

Ah spring. we have bulbs starting to come up. Paperwhites and Daffodils. We have.. or had.. those soxs for thistle until the junkels decided to bite holes in them to get the seed out faster. I still have a daisy blooming and roses trying to open. I think our weather has been confusing the plants. Hope you're feeling better.

Yesterday When I stepped outside I could just feel it in the air!
It was a lovely sunny day. Today I worked in the garden for the first time.......
Spring is in the air but winter is just waiting around the corner to return......

Sorry to read you had a cold. Oh please let Spring come soon.

HAW!

Lisa, the lambs are so beautiful, a sign of spring surely.....

I saw a blue tit check out a nesting box today. The robin sings to his sweetheart each morning and evening.....spring is a breath away. In my part of the world it can change overnight....I take nothing for granted.

Hope you are feeling better soon.......colds just make you feel so miserable, don't they??

No signs of spring here - still 20 degrees or so. I love to see those lambs altho it does seem a bit early! But thanks for sharing the optimism of lambs - so cute

I had to laugh when you asked about any signs of spring...I took a drive north of here and discovered signs of autumn...tall trees lining the interstate with bright red, orange and yellow leaves...I wish I had had my camera!!! ;)

I'm glad you are beginning to feel better. Take care.

This winter has been a cold one here in Alabama...colder than usual. But, I've got bulbs pushing up their green stems up everywhere in my yard. Yea!!!! Next week our temps are supposed to climb into the 60s. Wish you could be here to enjoy the nice weather.

These are adorable. Yes, my finches are begining to show some color, too. I saw some daffodil sprouts a day or so ago and our temps are supposed to skyrocket to almost 60 by week's end!! Hooray!

Hi Lisa! What a wonderful post - full of Spring and Hope! I LOVE the Lamb photos...... they are adorable!

Here on Northern California, Spring came early for a few weeks....sunny weather, Cherry Blossoms blooming as well as Daffodils, Iris..... and my "Cousins" - the Robins, beginning to chirp amnd swoop over my home....

However - yesterday, a huge change, rain, wind (scattering the pink blossoms) and hail..... still, it all points to Spring! She is coming!

Hugs from San Francisco,

♥ Robin ♥

Hi Lisa ~~ I am glad that you are feeling better. I didn't know of your troubles until tonight. Yes, spring is coming to Texas as golfers are beginning to sprout on the golf courses.
Thank you for peeking in on my OSI poem last week. I have been slow to blog since then so I didn't return here. I do hope you will join in the coming week. I just today posted the one that we could do starting Sunday.

No spring yet! It is still winter and the world famous Iditarod will start in a few weeks. Spring comes end of April. We hope! But I do love seeing your pics of spring, it gives me hope.

Oh, so sorry to hear you caught cold. I hope by now you are over it. So far I've only had a little sniffle now and then. These shots are so cute!
