I know it is "freakin'" winter but I still want to take my canoe down this river. Your photo is stirring up something in me. It's a really lovely photo. And the verse is perfect.
Nice, Lisa. When I was a boy I loved to watch our creek when it was over full and see what all went floating by. Oftentimes I would add something of my own. .. BTW, we are visiting our grandchildren (and children). The little one with the toys is 19 months old. The other is a teen now. ..
surrounded by rivers and lakes in the inland northwest i look forward to seeing the rivers rise and fall... with all sorts along for the ride.... it is magical...

Natural and beautiful take on the prompt. Lovely haiku
I love haiku's - I think we should all attempt them more often. The picture is pretty, looks like spring is on it's way!
Beautiful photo and imagery with the poem :)

I know the waters will become deadly forces in the spring thaw. Be careful.♥
We hope not. Ours is reaching flood stage, too. Ah, such is spring. We've had a good, wet winter, haven't we? Should be a beautiful Spring!
