Best Bug

The best bug of the weekend was a Falcate Orangetip Butterfly.  I have only seen these 4 other times that I can remember. They are very active butterflies. My DB worked hard to get a picture of it.  I did this painting from that picture.
Did any of you see an intersting bug this weekend?

Beautiful job on this Lisa. I can just see him working to get a photo for you. I have never seen one and must admit I've never heard of it.
No bus here just those adorable Gambrel Quail.

I haven't seen one of these before, either. Beautiful! I love the looseness and grace of your washes! I saw a cool iridescent beetle relative yesterday on my car window: black with sublte rainbow colors. Wish he had stayed so I could paint him, too.

Nope...no interesting bugs to report. I've never heard of this pretty butterfly. I'm amazed at your ability to recognize some many insects and birds.
