Twenty minute challenge - The Help

Last weekend we went to see the movie THE HELP. I thought I would try a 20min challenge by drawing an apron. I went to the web site that talks about the help characters and decided to do one of the characters. I tried to do too much in such a short time. I didn't have  a very good picture either.  Every painting is a learning experience. I realize I should think out what I am going to do a little more before attempting a project.
To see more twenty minute challenges go here.

I adore aprons. Think out before doing. that would be a new one for me. artwise, i just plunge in and think later. in other areas of my life though, like buying a house, i think too much and wish i had more plunge in.

Hi Lisa,

I really like this. It reminds me of some artwork I saw recently, just trying to remember where.

I think you are amazing......20 minutes, well done.

You actually did quite well = it's hard to do a lot in 20 minutes but I guess that's the point to free you up to paint more loosely.

Great job on this. Yes, the purpose of 20 minutes is to get the essence of the subject. And you did!

I read the book and it is one of the beat I have read,

I read the book, but haven't seen the movie yet. I think this looks like my imagination of the characters. Good job.

20 minutes is short! You did well. Perhaps I could take part, to help me refocus on my art again?!

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this book and movie. I really wanted to see it but Annie has taken over our time right now. so maybe the book would be good to get for now. Fun drawing. and wow in only 30 mins too.
