The Dreaded Quilt Finished

I have to say that I am glad it is over. The Quilt covered my life for nearly a month. Why did I choose such a large project for my first attempt at quilting??  I can say I learned a whole lot on this project.
Here it is completed. I am standing in front of it for scale. I had to stretch some string between a couple of bookcases in the livingroom and pin it up for a photo. It is queen sized.
I am pleased that it is finished way ahead of the holidays so I don't have to try to get it finished for Frank's January birthday.

Wow.. thats a LOT of work you put in there. Wish I could see the photos on it better but Blogger keeps things small now. He is going to be so jazzed when he sees this. I did a log cabin queen quilt years ago and it seemed like I would never get done with it. Good job Lisa.

Oh Lisa! What a beautiful quilt, and your first one??? You did a wonderful job on this. I did a tiny block quilt when I was in high school and that was enough for me. Not my venue.
I agree with Laure, it's good to see you in a photo. You look great!

I know you are so happy to have it completed...and yes...so large a quilt for your first one was crazy...but you DID IT!!! Congratulations. I get the feeling you don't let anything keep you from moving ahead. You are a wonder woman!
