We had our first Box Turtle sighting today at the park. He didn't really want to come out and play.
I guess I wouldn't either if a big pink nose was pressed up against my shell. Mr Box Turtle expressed his disgust by hissing at Luna.
A girl just has to find a shady spot to recooperate after an exciting outing.

What a cool turtle. Thats something we dont see here. Except the ones at the Duck pond on logs. We actually had some nice weather today. Luna was very curious.. :) Like Annie...She was nose to beak today with the neighbors Chickens. Thru the chicken wire of course. I got some cute pix for next Wednesday. :) HAW

Lisa... that Box Turtle is beautiful! Really! I have never seen one...it is fascinating to learn that there are so many different types....(just *met* a Pig-nosed one last week)!
Luna is too adorable - checking out Mr. Turtle...(although I'm sure he didn't feel very happy)!

I love box turtles so much. Ours look a little different here. The designs on their backs are so unique. Whenever I see one crossing the road I stop and help in across before he gets run over. It's a family joke. xoxo Terah
I fell in love with my husband 40 years ago when he stopped his car to help a Box Turtle cross the road...I love the good Box Turtle....

How fun Luna played with the box turtle and I have never seen an orange box turtle before? It's so unique!
Lately, I got to catch one or two snails at my garden. I caught them and play with them for a while but I got to destroy them because they eat my plants!
