It was spring-like here yesterday. I took a walk with some friends looking for signs of spring. I must say we were not disappointed. We found the leaves of Putty Root and Cranefly Orchid. Hepatica leafed out. So it tells me that it won't be long until spring.
The bark of trees become so much more interesting when they are standing sentry in a near empty woods. We knew we weren't alone because at least three wood frogs were serenading us.
The temps have been dropping all day. I hope you all got out to enjoy the weathers if it was possible in your neighborhood. What all did you see and hear?

What a great journal page. Sounds like a nice walk with Friends. We had a nice day today and got out for a nice long walk in some sunshine but the temps are dropping here too.
I love these pages Lisa, I love these hints of spring so beautifully painted! It's moving here too, warmer days, sunny skies, light sweater weather. Daffodil leaves shooting up out of the ground, flowers soon to follow!
I'm a fan of your journal pages too, Lisa. What did I see and hear? Well, the Kingfishers are back in our garden after being absent for quite a while so that raised my spirits considerably.
This is just a beautiful page Lisa!! I love every piece of it.
Lisa - your sketches are so wonderful. I, too, can see those *Spring Signs* emerging.... we have had a lot of sun..so plants are beginning to blossom. Oh...as I write this, the *Wild Parrots* of Telegraph Hill (about 20 of them) have just flown over my house squawking kike crazy!~ Wish I'd had time to photograph them! But they fly like the wind!
Hugs,
♥ Robin ♥
Beautiful journal page dear! No signs of spring here yet....
Much rain and wind
we had .:( I don't like to be out in that kind of weather......
I guess I just have to be patient ;)
Glad you could enjoy being outside and see those hopeful signs

Great sketches, Lisa! You are reminding me to use my gardening journal!!! Enjoy your springlike weather!!! Yee haw!
The way you sketched the leaves in front gives them a 3D look, very pretty.
The air smells of spring too, but it is not yet here.
I hope the warmth bounces back! This journal is stunning.
Your journal is wonderful..the layout and writing made we want to read more.
