First Crocus

This time of year when you look out and see a spot of yellow in the garden your heart races. Our first Crocus began blooming yesterday. Every time the sun shines the little buds open wide.
A great way to celebrate Mardi Gras. Happy Fat Tuesday to everyone.

Oh how wonderful!
The snow just melted a few days ago here.......
Last autumn I planted lots of crocuses in the lawn, so we are exited to see them coming up this year. So far sign yet......but I know I can't be long :)
Your painting is just wonderful!
Enjoy Spring and the garden coming to live again

I really miss the sweetness of the first spring blooms bursting throught the ground. I know each place has its own beauty...and the desert in springtime abounds with it...but the memories of crocus and jonquils and tulips first appearing continue to plant themselves deep in my midwest heart. Mmmm...Lovely drawing Lisa...:)
