Cactus Monday

Good morning Cacuteers. It seems like when I am tired I always reach for my colored pencils. That doesn't seem just right because it takes a lot more energy to use colored pencils than it does to use watercolors. I think the reason is because I can curl up in my comfortable chair and keep busy.
While I like my cactus here, it seems a bit disjointed. Not a good composition. But I am pleased that I got a cactus on the board. I knew you all would be disappointed if I didn't. tee hee.... Happy Cactus Monday...

I hear with the reason for CP's, I am the same way.

And I would have been SO disappointed without a Lisa cactus today :) It is really nice. You got that sun just right also, it gets so big and bright and warm (but not today).

Wonderful cactus drawing. I can nearly feel the heat from the gorgeous sun! Love it and I like the composition as well.
I would love a day in the desert right now. Tomorrow we will have a very cold day and I feel a cold in my head coming up.....
Happy cactus Monday Lisa!

Sometimes physical comfort dictates the medium! I have often wished I could curl up on the couch and do watercolors at the same time. Well I tried it with gouache once but it was NOT comfy.

I like your cactus; it has a feeling of serenity to it.

A little lizard is camouflaged in this colored pencil drawing enjoying the warm sand and the juicy cacti.

Charming situation you have here :-)
HCM and have a great week also...

The lizard makes me smile. I almost missed him! The cactus is really rich looking, very nice.
I used colored pencils too because most of my art supplies are still packed away and I don't know what box my watercolors are in :(
And hey, we put our suns in the same place !

Thanks everyone. I am glad some of you saw the lizard. I just love to be out and find lizards. They are so diverse. Colorful, always zipping around.
