Farmers Market

We have a nice new Pavillion covering the area where our Farmers market is held. This place holds such wonderful produce for the purchasing this time of year. My mouth always waters at the mere mention of the Market. Fresh Peaches were available today. Yummmmm One of the taste treats of the season is Peach Cider. I didn't get it here but the Orchard that makes Peach Cider only has it this time of year when the peaches are prolific. Yummmm.
It is a yummy weekend so far. I hope your weekend is yummy.

I'm not a big peach fan but I do love open-air markets. There's just something about buying food directly from the grower. We have one here but it's still small - maybe in time it will grow.

Love Farmers markets. How fun to do a painting of the drink you love.

I could live on fruits and veggies! I love juicy peaches but as with all fruit, I only like the fruit...no products from it. Not even pie!
Nice jug drawing :)

Oh I would love some peach cider, what a wonderful idea. Bulmers have started making pear cider now, I must try some. Farmers markets are great for cheese and eggs too.

Dear Lisa,
Yummy is so right!
We partnered with a farmer and pick up our organic produce every Saturday at the city market. I just love the CSA (Community Sustainable Agriculture) we belong to. Betty is our farmer and she has had fresh peaches for the last few weeks. My husband loves them!
I hope to visit the farm in a few weeks. We signed up for next year too!
I will tell my husband about peach cider...we may have to go on a peach cider safari.
