Blooming Tuesday - Cattail with Yellow-headed Blackbird

This Yellow-headed Blackbird is sitting on top of a cattail that is in bloom. It is almost going to seed actually.  Happy Blooming Tuesday to all.

What a gorgeous blackbird! Basking in the sun (now that yesterday's snow has melted)!

Do you work from photographs or from nature when you do your animal and bird pictures? This is another good painting.

Vibrant! I can feel the sun here. Yellow heads are always more colorful than I remember - we see a few here.

Hi Lisa.....I love the blackbird.....you have a great talent but do tell me, when do you find time to paint? I can remember my Grandfather painting and a piece would take ages to produce......
