Happy Halloween

How long has it been since you have carved a pumpkin?  For us it had been a l-o-n-g time.  So when we were invited to a pumpkin carving party...well, we had to do one ahead of time to be prepared.

I always wanted a fancy cut out.  We bought one of those kits with patterns

and various knives, scrapers, drills.  Surprisingly all of these little plastic tools worked good.

We ended up with fun pumpkins to display.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Oh Lisa....I am so envious, they are just gorgeous. I have given up on pumpkin carving, mine never work out as intended.

I shall be holding a Halloween party for POppi and Riley tomorrow....I have my costume and wig waiting......Oooooohhhhhh

Hi Lisa, this is just beautiful. Very courageous of you. We don't carve real pumpkins anymore. We buy the already carved manufactured kind. Aren't we awful?
I need to find time to visit more often.

It's been several years since I carved one. It is so much fun though. I enjoyed your cactus monday pic too! Great pumpkin cactus.

Oh you did great with that! I can see all the details in the candle light; very pretty. Hope your party is fun!

We bought some of those tools several years ago and the boys thought they worked well. I just made soup out of one of my pumpkins today.

They turned out really great!!! I always wished to try a fancy carved pumpkin, and never have. Now I may have to give it a go next year!!!

Nice job. You and Zuzana in Denmark are making me wish I'd bought a pumpkin to carve. It's been a few years and seeing yours brings back some nice memories. Enjoy Halloween by the glow of your spooktacular pumpkins.

My daughter had a pumpking carving party for the kids the past two or three years but not this year. So I took them to the pumpkin patch instead. Been a long time for me too. (I didn't carve at the party, just took pictures of the kids).

Your pumkin came out delightfully well. Love the cat and the Boo!

I wish I was into Halloween now like I was when I was younger.
I think I could carve a bad-ass pumpkin now! (Marthe Stewart style.)

Happy All Hallows eve!
