We don't have crocus down here, but they sure are pretty and seem to dominate the blogs this time of year when they start popping up everywhere...except here!!! It is exciting to watch from a far-away standpoint and see them explode onto the scene!
Well, this is my first spring back east in 16 years and I forget the nuances. yesterday I looked out the litchen window to the back yard and wondered what 'all those little white things' were on the ground. I went out side and it was a whole bunch of crocus buds pushing up from the muddy soil!! I have no idea what else will crop up here because none of them are my plantings. It will be fun to be surprised!

This is great and I like the little bug on the leaves too.
Ours have opened up and bloomed and now gone. :( But more flowers to come. :)
These are just wonderful Lisa! Right down to the tiny bug. Very clever of you.
What a perfect sight!
and wonderfully painted Lisa!
HBT!!!
Ha! I like the little bug on the leaf.
I love crocuses......especially planted in drifts. Beautiful watercolour Lisa......hope the sun comes your way soon.
I had a lone crocus for a few years. Then it stopped blooming. : (
Really really pretty Lisa. I used to find these in my yard but not recently???
what lovely colours, it is a good sign.
Those little crocus are just the boost we all need after winter! This is really a lovely sketch, Lisa.
