When we were out birding early yesterday we saw a skunk along the side of the road. He was a little nervous about us driving up beside of him. His tail went up as a precaution. Happy Animal Wednesday.
It may stink buti have to say the first time I ever smelt one was on a visit to Boston in 2006. It was road kill and we smelt it from miles way. This may seem strange but it was so wonderfu to smell a new smell at the age of 36!
This is adorable. They are the cutest looking foul smelling of all critters.. LOL We saw three baby skunks in our back yard the other night. Annie Growled and they split. They are not yet familiar with that horrid spraying.. I guess..My Frends dog got sprayed in her own yard last week. PU.

Oh boy, that could have been dangerous. Messyfish is right, you can smell road kill of a skunk for miles in either direction.
You did a wonderful job on this guy! So....is this a birdskunk? lol

The little skunk looks like he was on high alert. I like the way his fur is sticking up as well as his tail.
