More Nesting Animals

I was so delighted to find a Common Snapping Turtle laying it's eggs today. This is the page in my journal about the event.  There was a Black Kingsnake not too far from the turtle and a racoon just across the field from where she was laying her eggs.
To read more details and see some photos you can go to my other blog here.  I hope you all are having an exciting, fun weekend.

Wow.. you did a great job of capturing them. I saw them on your other blog too. The snake would have been scary to me tho. You got it nice and slimy looking. LOL Oh I have to tell you that my swallows decided to not nest in my nesting box after all. I am disappointed. :( They were there daily and then poof gone. The rain is keeping us from getting much done outside. Its never rained this long and this much.

Lisa, you amaze me......each time I see your artwork I can see how you are developing and moving forward. These are lovely pieces....your journal will be a wonderful record of all that happened in your lifetime.I hope there is someone in your family who will treasure them and keep them to pass down to the next generation.

I do hope the eggs will be safe??

But how exciting to find these animals near where you live! I only see them on TV!

Hope you are doing fine dear! Probably lots of work to do in the garden.
I worked in the garden this morning, everything is sooooo dry unbelievable tonight we expect rain. I really hope so , nature (not I) needs it;)

Have a wonderful week ♥

Fabulous page Lisa. A perfect capture of a nature event.
I have seen baby turtles emerge but never the burying of them.
I hope that snake doesn't find the eggs.

Now, turtle eggs - that is something I have never had the joy to see. You are a lucky lady. And observant too.
