Larger painting

At the beginning of the year I said that I would do three large paintings. Here it is the middle of the year and I have just done one.  I have 6 months to do two more. I hope that I am more inspired in the next six months.
What I have painted here is the view out my window at work. This hollyhock is just at the edge of the building. When you look out this window you see the fringed curtain and it just all goes together. The old fashioned flower with the plisse fringed shade and the old stucco building. I put the painting in an old frame I picked up at a garage sale. Oldies but goodies.  Happy Blooming Tuesday to you all.

I agree with Teri. You are good and holding out on us.. Is this watercolor? I know what you mean tho. I just started a new painting and still have two I haven't finished. It's finding just the right subject to motivate me so I do finish it...

This looks GREAT! I love the little snippet of a peek and it works beautifully in that antique frame. I grew hollyhocks one year. They are such a delight.
Keep at it, Lisa. I love this.

What a beautiful view you have! I can't imagine working where I couldn't see out a window and enjoy nature. Very nice painting - can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Hi Lisa,

What a beautiful painting. My eye was immediately drawn to the hollyhock. The oval frame works so well.....reminds me of the edwardian period for some reason.

You have a wonderful talent Lisa.
You must be so pleased with this piece??

wow, you hide in your garden for a while and then you spring this beauty on us!!

You'll have time for the other 2 when winter rolls around.

This is great Lisa, and the frame is perfect for it.
