I couldn't resist checking on the blue and white ceramic bird house that the House Wrens are going in and out of. Sure enough a couple of naked babies were in there. Amazing all the feathers that these little darlings were snuggled into. There are 4 eggs to hatch yet.
Happy Animal Wednesday everyone.

Oh how cute, and not easy to sketch, either!! I commend you for even attempting this and you did a great job with it.
My babies that I posted about earlier this spring just disappeared overnight it seemed. I think something got them because they weren't old enought to fly away that fast. Whaaah...
Your drawing is beautiful, but baby birds are just ugly. Although sweet.
Oh how lovely!!!!!!
What a pleasure it must be to witness this and see them fly out in a while!
I love your watercolor on this! You are getting better and better!!!!!
HAW♥
What a great drawing. Baby birds are ugly arent they. But they sure get cute with feathers. I cant believe that there are still four eggs to hatch. Poor Mama is going to be very busy feeding that mob. :))
i agree with Katie Jane that this was a difficult sketch! they look like aliens. it's a wonderful sketch and i dont believe i have ever seen a sketch of newborn baby birds before.
Sweet find Lisa and it makes a great journal page. Those babies are so tiny and bald aren't they?
HAW
Yes, these little darlings are
U-G-L-Y. They are bald and you can see their veins through their skin. They have the best parents. Bringing bugs galore for them to dine on. This is the second nesting for this pair of birds. They sooon shoo away the first set of fledglings. It is amazing how fast they renest.
Lovely subject for AW (but, like already said - young birds are so ugly...).
they look like adorable space aliens! it's a great drawing
What a neat art page! So detailed!!!
Sweet illo lisa...love your journalling along with it...:0
You're really turining out some nice journal pages! It's a wonderful rendition of the newborns.
Hi Lisa,
So tiny, so fragile....I do hope they make it.
Well done......you have captured them well. I would not know where to start. For me, a very difficult subject.
Hello Liza! Happy belated Wednesday and Friday to you:)
Oh my! I can't resisit this. I really like cute little furly creatures.
I can see you put in lots of effort documentating this sketch....of bird house and the little ones.
I can't wait to see them. I bought a wooden birdhouse for painting purposes. How can I attract birds to saty in?
May be you have to give me some tips Liza!
Until then, Happy weekends and hope you have fun doodling and put in thoughts in the journal I gave you:)
Bye!
I am so glad you didn't resist!
