Blackberries

It is that time of year again. Not only do I look forward to our July 4th celebrations I look forward to finding the first Blackberries of the year. On July 2nd I found our first ripe ones. It will be a good year for the berries.  While berries aren't exactly a bloom I was thinking about all the Blooming Tuesday participants. I know that this time of year there are plenty of blooms to be painting. Cheers.

oh this is wonderful. Ours arent ready to pick yet.. We have a few weeks to go yet. Con loves going for walks to be able to pick them along our road in the empty fields. We have made jelly with them too. and Blackberry cobbler too. They have a whole weekend festival for them in a near by town in August.

I want to pluck these from their stems and put them on my morning cereal. They look so real and nummy.

I love your inspired art! This reminds me of happy memories I had with my son last summer, picking blackberries whilst sitting on a submerged log in the creek and watching dragonflies.
