Blooming Tuesday - Proteas

My MIL received a huge bouquet of Proteas from a friend in HA. I sat in the livingroom and drew a few of them.  Such gorgeous flowers. They seemed almost artificial because we have nothing like them around here. Unless of course you live in the tropics.
Happy Blooming Tuesday.

I've seen them grow round here, and if was snowing in parts today!!! How is that possible? I do love the symmetry and patterns in them though.

These do not even grow in south Florida...to my knowledge anyway. I bought them for my Mom once and they are the neatest things!!! I'm so glad you got some!!! Your painting is lovely!

But we are in the tropics arn't we?! Oh, it just feels like it.
These plants were so beautiful when I saw them in Hawaii.
Terrific journal page Lisa. So good to see you sketching more.

Great drawing. Not sure I have seen this plant before. I used to be able to grow tropical plants in SO CAL tho. This one I am not sure I have heard of. How fun you drew it.

Happy Blooming Tuesday to you Lisa.
My appology to drop by late.
Please forgive me.

What a coincidence, I was clearing my garden this morning and saw a similar Proteas beneath my Rambutan tree.

Lovely thoughts and you have captured its beauty in your most unique way. Now, I thought of re-planting it to a pot:) It's great that you receive gift from a dear friend.
