One Single Impression - Paper

Lined, unlined,
colored, white.
Always there
to receive
my thoughts.
Lead, ink,
charcoal, watercolor.
Never resisting
an impulse
to communicate.

One Single Impression's prompt this week is 'Paper'.  Reading all the poetry that was inspired by this made me think about how important paper is to our culture. Certainly in mine.
As artists we adore paper. It allows us to express ourselves no matter what medium we choose.

Great prompt poem. I love paper.. always have since I was a child. What would we do without paper and pencils or pens? Fun art piece.

I have always had a deep love of the paper & pencil since I was old enough to see the magic of taking the pencil and conveying communication in my own way to others while making my marks on paper...love it.

A good collection of artist's materials which you use for creating magic!! True you can express very well no matter what medium you choose.
Good wishes!!

Very nice, Lisa! Your lines are inviting, especially "Never restisting an impulse ..."
The (water?) painting with drawing is sooooo pretty. Some write, some draw and sketch, others paint. You all these just wonderfully.

This was just great! Empty paper fills me with happiness just thinking about the possibilities of what could be written. Great job with the prompt!
