Animal Wednesday - Goldfinch

I painted this goldfinch from a photo taken by Sherry over at Q's Corner. She is a great photographer and has much inspiration on her blog for my nature paintings and drawings. HAW to all you Animal Wednesday participants. If you would like to see more animals from Animal Wednesday go to Teri's Painted Daisies. Teri is the host for this muse.

This is so cute Lisa!!! I need to go look at her site.

Thanks for naming me as the host but actually I think Studio Lolo started it, soulbrush joined, beam me up scotty, and not sure who else. Next week I will try to write the players down.

I joined so I could practice more animals but it is ust a loose fun group.

Sorry about that Studio Lolo. I didn't know that you started AW. I will have to see your blog. I too need to practice animals. Of course I get stuck on birds and bugs. I should branch out.

I love your picture here..the colors are great, and have that washed soft feel to them!

Hi there, Teri gave me your blog address and glad to see you are doing AW. It doesn't matter at all, but I started AW as a way to start practice drawing and having fun with friends. We're all in it together, so happy to have you join. There are...as you can see...absolutely NO rules! Drawings, photographs, stories - whatever! just enjoy yourself and the animals in your life. I'll link your blog to the AW family.
By the way, these goldfinches are wonderful!

Thanks for stopping by! I was going to tell you that Mim started Animal Wednesday, Teri started Cactus Monday. They're both small, but fun groups!

This painting is lovely! I especially love the added crimson on the right.
