Cactus Monday - November 3

Pam over at Digging is a great photographer and gardener. I am always inspired by her blog. She was just talking about her 'Santa Rita' Prickly Pear cactus turning to its winter purplish color. Her photo gave me the inspiration for this Cactus Monday painting. Besides I have been busy at work decorating for Christmas os the Santa part of the name of the cactus also inspired me. Happy Cactus Monday to all the Cacuteers.

Yes Teri I seem to be drawn to the Prickly Pear no matter what color scheme it is presented in.

Good color composition: I like the transition from warm to cool colors diagonally across painting. Plus, I love prickly pears. They seem to be everywhere, but always find a way to be distinctive.
