Animal Wednesday - Dragonfly

This summer there were several dragonflies in our garden. The females are usually nondescript as this one shows. It was sitting in the duff under the apple tree. Happy Animal Wednesday all.

I think dragonflies are so exciting to see. We see a fair amount by the lake in Wis. Lovely dragonfly Lisa.

Nondescript...............could be but every male needs a female unless you are a gyrodactylus.......
Lovely post!

Oh this is beautiful - I love dragonflies. I love the ones that sparkle in the sunshine - we used to call them "darning needles" when we were kids
