Blooming Tuesday

Here is a page out of my nature journal.  It has a bud on a honeysuckle that is still hanging on in the cold. Just as the titmous is hanging on for dear life. The wind was blowing like crazy when this bit of orange caught my eye out the kitchen window.  The timouse was sitting there with a sunflower seed in its bill. Happy Blooming Tuesday to all.

Nice to have such a pleasant view out your kitchen window. The greens and reds you used make your sketch look christmasy.

I've been re-reading a few published nature diaries that I've had in my bookshelves for years. Many of them are South African. They all make me feel closer to nature. This is a lovely fresh page from your journal, Lisa.

This is lovely. It reminds me of something out of a book I got years ago called The country diary of an Edwardian Lady. It was a year of nature sketching by woman botinist. A favorite of my books.

Lisa....this is going to be such a delightful journal. It reminds me of 'The diary of a country lady'.
I wonder how you feel looking at it twenty years ahead.......

I've put feeders out here already and the birds found it right away! I've missed these little cuties...wrens, titmice, chickadees and finches. I adore them!

Love the journal entry too!

What a lovely drawing and how super to have that bird so close to your window.

Those are hardy! Isn't that something? I really like how you transferred the image with the splotches of color. The same with my pansies in the garden but now I think they are really gone after minus 18.
