Thankful Thursday

I can't seem to express how thankful I am of the opportunity this past weekend I had to meet a Garden Blogging friend from England. It is amazing how close we have become through our blogs and have now had the opportunity to meet. Below is a picture of the group of us ladies that got together. From the left is Rose who write Prairie Rose's Garden who lives in Illinois, from England, Cheryl who writes Take Time To Smell the Flowers, Me and then, also from Il, Beckie who writes Dragonfly Corner. For more about our visit you can go here and here.
This visit got me to thinking about how wonderful blogging is. You meet such nice people that share your interests. I know I have been mightly blessed with such friendships.
Another of my friendships has been made with Marianne of Mandalas and More. She has gifted me with this beautiful beaded bag, some watercolor paper I have been looking for and a paperback booklet. I can't wait to use each item. I can't thank you enough Marianne.
I wish I could gift everyone with something beautiful and meaningful. Today I have collected the names of everyone that wanted a chance to read this book. Teri of Teri's Painted Daisies is the lucky winner of this book. I will post it soon Teri.
Happy Thankful Thursday to everyone. You know you make me thankful every day not just today.

Blogging has certainly opened up my world to many, many wonderful friendships. I never thought I'd be a blogger! I'm so glad I took the leap.

What a wonderful day you must have had with the ladies! And that Marianne, she is one of the most thoughtful people I know. She takes mental notes and stores them and then sneaks up on you with surprises!

Congrats to teri for winning the book :)

And you are a gift to us too, Lisa!♥

Hi Lisa.....didn't we just have a fun time. We touched down at Heathrow this morning. I did not sleep, I was much to busy thinking about the holiday and all the things we had done. I am now extremely tired but very very happy.

I cherish the time spent with you and feel sure we will meet again.

Hugs to you and DH.

BTW very beautiful gift........

What fun getting together with Blogging friends & from England no less. They have lovely gardens over there. I have found my world has opened up by blogging. I have gotten to meet a couple bogger friends too. I need to go check out where you all visited. I've been a little lax, due to my surgery, checking out things. You will have memories lasting a life time from this.

huh? what? me? WOW, I am so lucky! Thank you so much Lisa. After I read it I will pass it along to whoever else wants to read it.

Your words about blogging friends are so so true. What did we ever do before the Internet. I still remember when we met and what a great time and warm feeling I have every time I see your name.

And that sweet Marianne, what a treasure she is.

It is wonderful to connect with friends, those you know in person and those you've only met through the mail. I'm glad you had a good time. Lovely garden. I assume it is yours.

Dear Lisa,
I am amazed at how many friends I have made through blogging. Perhaps it is because we invite people into our gardens and homes and they also come into our hearts. I love the photograph of you and Rose and Becky and Cheryl. Kindred spirits indeed. I hope we get to meet one of these days...

Can't believe I didn't leave a comment here........ I read the post , think I went off the one of the links and then didn't return........
Yes Lisa indeed blogging is so wonderful!
And to meet blog friends in real is just magic I experienced that this summer as you know. and i still remember the posts when you and teri met!!!!! truly enjoyed them!
How wonderful teri won your book! Congrats Teri!
I am in the orient now, just blogging a bit before I go to sleep. trying not to get too far behind with everything.
How about this paper Lisa? I know it is the same as you showed me but was it the same size or bigger? Too bad they only sell loose as cards and not as big ones. I also bought a big block with smoother paper than I usually use inspired by this paper but I must admit , it is nice paper but not as nice as this one.
But I really think this Fabriano paper has your name on it Lisa. can't explain why but it is like that.

Hope you are ok and are enjoying Autumn my friend
