When you walk into my little room you might feel a bit overwhelmed with so much crammed into such a small space but when I walk in here I feel a welcoming vibe. It is a place that has all my "stuff". I can leave projects out and not worry about offending anyone with my mess.
I sit here at the computer a lot. This is where I sit when I am writing to you, posting on my blog or reading your blogs. I can see thebird feeder just outside my window. I watch for any and all birds, wildlife walking past the window going to and from the back garden.

When I am sitting in my chair this is the view of the other side of the room I have. Mind you I didn't straighten any space before taking these photos. This side of the room has the table that I work on most. I leave my watercolors set up here. The bulletin board holds all my faves.
When I leave my little creative space it is usually to go into the livingroom where the tv is located. I usually do my drawing with pen, pencil and markers here. Now if I get really busy I take over the diningroom. It has the only table large enough to lay out fabric for cutting and sewing. Besides it is usually the only room that every surface isn't covered or at least easily uncovered before I use it.
So that is my tour of my creative spaces. I can't wait to see where you all work. Oh yes, I thought I would throw in a photo of my crayola washable markers that I have been playing with lately since several have asked about them. Have a fun weekend.
If you want to enlarge any of the photos you can click on them to see the dust.

If you don't see enough inspiration in this group you could check out this book Where Women Create by Jo Packham. It has 20 famous artists and their creative spaces. I found this several years ago when I was thinking about a space of my own. I was drawn to it and I still like to look at their spaces occasionally. Now I have you all. It is so much more fun to know whos space you are looking at.

I love your creative spaces. So artistic feel, humble, cozy and comfortable.
You also love and have a wide range of magic colour. Me too:)
Thanks for all your kind comments.
You really deserve the awards.
I love the bounty red Valentine card that you specially create just for this occassion. So gorgeous and meaningful. I have fall in love again with you and your bountiful valentine heart:):):)
MMM MMM!!!!
Thanks for the view and the reminder to do this (I just ran around and took photos).
Is that a Viking se machine? It looks like mine.
I love looking at where you create, that desk by the window is perfect. Isn't it funny how we tend to take over the whole house.
Happy studio day!
what a busy busy looking place, seems bursting with creativity and purpose, i like that. and it's not overly neat either which is good. enjoy your hols and have fun and let us know how you are and miss you already. hugs.
Great spaces!! I don't think it's messy at all.
I should retake my photos and show folks how messy my house really is. I took these photos the day I set up the space. I hadn't even sat there yet!!
My house is so messy I never have people over anymore.
Feel better now?
:)
I enjoyed getting a look at your bookshelf. Lots of books and pictures and notebooks there. I see you have things that inspire you tacked to a bulletin board too. It's funny. It seems that creative types can't be restricted to one workspace alone. It you're creative then you are creative everywhere you go.
Thanks for being a part of my inspirational show and tell!
It is so interesting to me that so many who have shown the creative space(s) have so many different interests - the sewing, the books, drawing, watercolor and what have you. I think this opens my eyes to seeing that you are a much more diverse artist than I realized.
Thanks so much for sharing!
I love your areas! And your Crayola Markers...50!!! Whoa!!!
Yes Studio Lolo, I feel better now knowing I am not the only messy one in the bunch. ;)
Julie, Only the best for my Grands. I just wish they were around a whole lot more than they are.
Your workstation looks cozy and nice.
Wonderful views of your creative spaces...I noticed your art calendar up on the bulletin board...look loke every day this year was filled in!!1 WooHoo Girl!!! :)
Hi Margaret. Not every day is filled in on the calendar but I think the calendar is giving me incentive to do more art. Thanks for the tip.
I have also gained a new respect for people that work every day and do art every day too. I have worked full time this week and my little spaces haven't been filled. Booooo... Kudos to you full time workers that get "any" art accomplished. WOW
Hey Lisa - Popped over to visit your blogs, returning your visit :-) to our garden blog. I had to laugh when I saw your room - Mine is sooo cluttered too, and full of threads of ideas I'm playing with or might play with again - I can really relate to your cosy creative den!
I like your heart very much - it certainly does express, to me, love, and loss, and need - and beauty to share.
Dear Lisa,
Catching up and enjoying your Artful side!
I love seeing your creative space. So many different talents you have!
I am working in my office right now and do tend to spread out in to the kitchen...I have organized chaos!
This spring/summer my husband and I are going to build me a studio. I have run out of stacking space!
