December Xmas Ornament 20

This is one of the few Nutcrackers we have on the tree. They are special because I was never a Nutcracker fan until a friend started giving us one occasionally. I appreciate the Nutcrackers much more now for they remind me of my dear friend.

This is really wonderfully done Lisa! Somewhere in my art archives I have one of these.
And, we are going to see the Nutcracker on the 23rd....if we can make it through the snow and cold. Well, if I even make it there on Monday.

OK...this makes me think of a family story. When my daughter was around 4 years old and we would be at my mom and dads house, she would not go into their livingroom because of "Marchyman". For the life of us, we could not figure it out. Finally she pointed way up high on the top of a shelf sat a nutcracker. We just howled with laughter! Now, everyone in our family refers to these as "Marchy Men"!!!

Nice job painting it!
