December Xmas Ornaments 4

I think the reason why I like Christmas ornaments so much is because they almost all have a story behind them. I don't have a Designer type of tree. I have a tree that has a mish mash of bulbs and most of them have a story behind them. Like the one pictured here. It is my oldest ornament. This is the one I hold most dear. It is the only thing I have left of my childhood other than a few photos. I don't remember how I came to have this bulb but it is one of my earliest memories of christmas. I delight unwrapping it each year and placing it on the tree.
Do any of you have favorite ornaments? Do any of your ornaments have stories to tell?

isn't it funny when decorating the house, how the memories pop up. This ornament looks very familiar. I will be looking for it when I get my stuff out.

Lovely painting Lisa!
The iron thing on the top looks so real that I actually had to enlarge it to see if it was photoshopt or not
I love my old ornaments they hold precious memories.

Don't feel bad Soulbrush. I know that not everyone is christmas ornament fan.

Teri, I think I have seen a newer model of this ornament too.

Thanks, Marianne. The picture does make the ornament look better. Ha... Not to worry I don't have photoshop. I probably wouldn't use it if I had it. I am not very techy. I actually wish I was more techy.

I am going to draw an ornament yet! Yes, they all have stories to tell. This is the first year I am not getting any out of the box! I have such a tiny tabletop tree this year for the first time since kids grown now! I must get busy drawing! LOL.

I bet you pack this with tons of tissue paper. How very pretty. It is neat you have paintings of them. It is amazing how many traditions and memories we have wrapped up in our ornaments. Ours are a mish-mash as well.
