This is another of my 70mph ATC's. This is a Chachalaca, a bird that is not the most glamorous thing to look at but I like them. You won't see them anyplace in the US except in South Texas. As big as they are (22") they can be difficult to see. They are so noisy so you can usually seek them out. They eat leaves and flowers. It is fun to see them "sneak-up" on a flower and gobble it down. They act like the flower might get away. Happy Animal Wednesday.

I like them too and I like the name of "70 mph ATC's" so cool. Great bird! HAW
You did a great job on this despite the speeding car. love your description.
Very nice, you work really well in the fast lane!
Intresting bird...cool name! Clever ATC!
Beautiful & what an interesting bird!
I think this is the cutest birdy EVER!!!
This is impressive work for such a small size! And so funny how they sneak up on flowers! :)
Happy Animal Wedesday.
I alsways have the delight for bird.
Love the soft colour setting here and it forms great character of this cutie here:)
I've never heard of that bird. Interesting that they eat flowers. Again, I'm impressed that you made art at 70 mph!
He has personality, to be sure! You made me laugh when you said he is hard to see even though he is a big guy. Makes me think of a lot of big birds around here--crows, jays, woodpeckers--that find a way to stay invisible.
Dear Lisa,
I so love the way you did your travel journal!
The Chachalacas are fun to watch.
I enjoyed them.
