I saw this bowl of cactus and succulents in a magazine and I had to draw it. It is so colorful and so many different textures here. I want to recreate it for the garden this summer. Happy Cactus Monday to all of you Cacuteers.
Like you, I love little succulent and cactus bowl gardens. I have an urn of succulents at the foot of my front steps. I've been watching it all winter, as I left it outside since both varieties were supposed to be able to over winter in this region. They made it! I'll be taking some photos soon. Happy Monday!
MF and Soul, you must have been hungry when you started reading my post. ;)
Can't wait to see your bowl Stevie. I have a strawberry pot that has several succulents in it but only a couple do very well. I have to bring it inside every winter. I don't have enough light for them to do well during winter.
My hens and chickens didn't make it through the winter-guess they have to be planted in the ground not a pot. But, I'm going to give it another go, because those little pots of cactus are very Zen...
what a lovely piece of art! you've really captured the details of the cactus. and, wouldn't it be fun to create a bowl like that? maybe i could keep cacti alive??! hee hee
