We have stayed here before and have never had a bad moment. It is family owned and ran. They tried having a manager at one time it didn't work out. So they are back to managing it themselves. You just can't beat the personalized service and that good ole southern hospitality.
This visit we were entertained by all the black-bellied whistling ducks that have invaded their property. I mean wildlife knows a good place when they experience it too. However these ducks have made a nusiance of themselves by staying around too long. If you have ever experienced too many Canada Geese or too many pigeons on a property you know the problems. We however found them amusing and they are quite beautiful. In the early morning we found them as silouettes just loafing on the roof of the building. Happy Animal Wednesday everyone.

Happy AW to you - sounds like you are having a wonderful time! I know what you mean about too many Canada geese, we have alot of them around here.
Have a safe trip home.
I have never seen a whistling duck before. These guys are lovely. They make an impressive chorus line!
I've been catching up on all the posts I missed lately. You and hubby packed something fun into everyday of your trip. That B n B sounds wonderful.
My dear, you look lovely in your hat. How nice of your friend to paint it for you.
Sounds like an awesome place, I am going to check the site out. What interesting birds.....you seem to have had a great trip so far. Safe continued travel.
Oh Lisa, This trip goes from one great experience to the other!
I enjoy seeing all thesse nuisances, especially when I haven´t seen them before.........
It is a different story in your own backyard.......
Happy Animal Wednesday!

I love your journal...a fabulous collection of goodies from your trip mixed in with some lovely journaling and art! Nice page!
Hi Lisa, that sounds like a dream stay for birders like you guys. A family owned B&B is the best kind we think too. The birds are cute, but having some bad geese experiences, young soccer players slipping in gooey you know what all over the soccer fields and being the one to try and wash that out of their uniforms, big fat yuck! :-)
